a5c7b9f00b 500 feet beneath the ocean's surface, the U.S. ballistic missile submarine Colorado receive their orders. Over a radio channel, designed only to be used if their homeland has been wiped out, they're told to fire nuclear weapons at Pakistan. Captain Marcus Chaplin demands confirmation of the orders only to be unceremoniously relieved of duty by the White House. XO Sam Kendal finds himself suddenly in charge of the submarine and facing the same difficult decision. When he also refuses to fire without confirmation of the orders, the Colorado is targeted, fired upon, and hit. The submarine and its crew find themselves crippled on the ocean floor, declared rogue enemies of their own country. Now, with nowhere left to turn, Chaplin and Kendal take the sub on the run and bring the men and women of the Colorado to an exotic island. Here they will find refuge, romance and a chance at a new life, eventhey try to clear their names and get home.
A US sub picks up Navy SEALs and receives an order for a nuke launch. Due to the circumstances of the order, the Captain refuses to fire. After escaping an attack from another US sub, the crew and SEALs take refuge on a small island.
I love Andre Braugher. He's the only good thing about this show. I feel terrible for him personally though that he's a part of this show - he deserves better. <br/><br/>Where to start. Well let's see - we nuke another country and no one cares about of for 3 episodes. The most powerful sub in the world has a multi billion dollar super stealth technology and it's never even tested until they're about to get blown up. The deputy secretary of defense gets promoted in 5 minutes and somehow can give nuke orders. The President doesn't exist. The writing is terrible. There's a super hot Asian chick with an Australian accent who looks perfect at all times of the day who has absolutely no bearing on the show except to make people like me comment on her. And wait for it, NATO's early warning system (or the thing that lets the US see around the world the second a missile is launched against them), is manned by 2 non Americans and zero security. <br/><br/>That aside, there is some tremendous drama. Random Russian commando's get dropped on the island and there's a firefight where some Americans die. That storyline is over in about 3 minutes and dropped out of the show entirely immediately. The secretary of defense shows up on the island and has a fierce showdown with the captain. He actually skips some stones for an entire scene while delivering his dialogue, which is hilarious because if you watch him skip stones, if he was actually throwing something when this was shot it would travel no more than 5 feet. Call it nit picking, I call it insulting the audience by not giving a s*** about anything. Then some random woman is all the sudden allowed to offer the crew a deal, and somehow also allowed to give the fire order on the sub? <br/><br/>I know that last paragraph sounds jumbled, and it is. I have no idea what I was even writing because I have no idea where to start with this show. There are an unlimited amount of problems and it's only 5 or 6 episodes in. You could probably walk into ABC headquarters and just ask for your own show - you'll probably get it. <br/><br/>I'm only giving Scott Speedman a pass this one time because he earned it from Felicity. <br/><br/>Having said all of this. I can't stop watching the show. It's the worst show ever created, and it deserves my full attention. Even worse than The Cape.
I would suggest to everyone just watch the season finale and you will never miss this series it is the best in ever that I have seen and I have seen most of them including my fav game of thrones<br/><br/>But this one is out of this world it turns the series on its head it has everything <br/><br/>Sad that we will miss the main character in the reaming season there are good shows and there are some great shows I agree this may not be a great series but the final episode is the greatest I have seen for some time to come the perfect end to the story<br/><br/>The best for me
